MOR has recently introduced a new, innovative milling solution for corn based ethanol plants that promises to be a system beyond all others. The patent-pending MOR-Frac™ Plus+ Milling System combines the product purity and product yields of corn wet milling with the product quality (i.e., less degradation and exposure to chemicals) of dry milling, and with energy efficiency, environmental impact, and capital and operating costs much closer to those of dry milling.


How does it work?

The system begins by utilizing the best parts of the MOR-Frac™ Dry Milling System at the front of the process, and then uses short but effective wet milling steps to further refine and separate the products. The new system combines positive attributes of both dry and wet milling technology in an integrated system.

Capturing the Value of Food-Grade Corn Oil

The MOR-Frac™ Plus+ system solves a major concern with dry fractionation systems - “what to do with the germ?” Dry fractionation systems often have to sell their lower quality germ to the animal feed market, getting a value less than conventional DDGS price, which defeats much of the purpose of a fractionation system. 

MOR’s system produces germ that exceeds wet-milled germ specifications, allowing it to be sold to existing solvent extraction companies. MOR also provides off-take and marketing services for the germ product through their partner, Quality Technology International, Inc.

Decreased Starch and Sugar Loss
